Grey Mexican Wolf

In appearance they resemble the German Shepherd. This subspecies is the only one native to the Southwestern Deserts. Earlier, a small number of these animals were found in higher elevations of the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts of Mexico, yet they are considered extinct now.

These wild canids are the largest members of the family and according to scientists, there are as many as 30 sub-species of these animals.
