These animals can be found almost in every country of the world, except Antarctica and some islands. They usually live in dens. The den is oval-shaped and normally located in high ground areas. There should be a water source near the cave.

Packs of these animals consist of a leader female, a leader male and lower-ranking animals. There can be as many as 20 members in a pack, but as a rule there are about 6-7 animals in one pack. The size of the family group depends on the amount of prey and the age of the animals. Wolf pictures and photos cannot be taken on a farm.
